James Wood
Research Associate
James Wood completed his doctoral degree in Canadian history at
Wilfrid Laurier University, where his research was directed towards
Canadian ideas of citizenship, military service, and perceptions of the
citizen soldier. He is the recipient of a SSHRC doctoral fellowship and has
published articles in The Journal of Military History, The Northern Mariner,
and Canadian Military History. His first book, We Move Only Forward, is a
military-diplomatic history of the US-Canadian First Special Service Force. He currently teaches history at the Univeristy of British Columbia, Okanogan.
