Each February since 2006 the Humanities Research Group, University of Windsor, has collaborated with colleagues from The Laurier Centre for Military Strategic and Disarmament Studies,Wilfrid Laurier University and The Essex and Kent Scottish Regiment to present conferences for those interested in military studies.
 
This year's conference, again sponsored by the HRG, LCMSDS, The Essex and Kent Scottish Regiment, HMCS Hunter, The Windsor Regiment, 21 Service Battalion and The Windsor Military Institute, will examine a number of threads in the discipline of military studies, including the sixty-fifth anniversary of the end of World War II and the Canadian Navy's celebration of its centenary.

"Naval Operations in the 21st Century"
Capt (N) Bertrand's paper will be followed by a panel discussion on Canada's Navy chaired by Cdr Peter Fleming. The panel will be comprised of members of the Regular and Reserve Force Navy who have served on operations both domestically and overseas.

3:00 pm: Closing Remarks by the conference organizers

The conference will also feature various book vendors and displays of military artifacts.
