Ronald W Shephard Operational Research Archive

Ronald Shephard, a British operational research scientist from the Second World War to the Gulf War donated his personal archive to the LCMSDS in the mid 1990s.  The Shephard archive, which has been indexed and will be fully text searchable online by autumn 2006, contains original Second World War reports, memorandums and studies conducted by operational research scientists as well as original documents covering Korea, Vietnam, peacekeeping, the decolonization era British military, Israel, the United States and First Gulf War.  In total there are over 20 metres of documentary holdings and many key documents will be digitised.
