Q: Are these records available for researchers to view on site?
A: Yes they are. You are able to view these records on-site free of charge.
Q: How do I visit your archives?
A: To visit the archives you must make an appointment Monday to Friday between 10:00 am and 4:00 pm by calling Mark Humphries at 519 884 0710, ex. 3700 or via email.
Q: Are there documents online?
A: Every week we will place documents online for free download. Documents will be added as they are scanned and placed online as PDFs. As documents are placed online, a link will be added to the corresponding record page in the database.
Q: What if I cannot travel to Waterloo and documents are not online?
A: If you have specific a specific document you would like to order, we have two copying services available. Documents can be scanned, on demand, at $0.30 per page and emailed to you in PDF format (be aware that the file size will likely be several megabytes) or mailed to you on CD in PDF format (a $2.00 charge applies). Also, documents can be photocopied for $0.40 per page and mailed to you. All orders sent through the mail will also be assessed shipping and handling at cost through Canada Post. To place an order please call 519 884 0710, ex 3700. Please be aware that some of the records on the site point to boxes that might contain up to a thousand items (such as aerial photographs) that have not been catalogued. We cannot fulfill requests to copy entire boxes, or portions of a box for which there are no finding aids available. These records must be consulted on site. We apologize for any inconvenience.
