The LCMSDS archives houses collections of historical significance pertaining to military conflict in the 20th century. Collections are mainly documentary but also include cartographic, photographic, film and audio holdings. The LCMSDS is interested in acquiring collections of letters, memoirs, photographs etc. pertaining to conflict in the 20th century. Please contact us if you are interested how we can make your historical documents available to historians, researchers and students.
Over the next several months, these collections will become searchable online through "Rover" our archival search engine. Users can also browse the records of each collection individually. Online users will also be able to download selected documents electronically.
The collection is available to researchers by appointment, Monday to Friday, 10:00am to 4:00pm. Copies of documents can also be ordered for those unable to visit the collection in person.
