Laurier International encourages, promotes and seeks opportunities for members of the Laurier community to effectively pursue their interests and careers in a globalized world and enhance their international and intercultural competencies.
There are many ways for you to get involved! Join our Global Engagement Student Ambassadors (Waterloo) or the Global Engagement Campus and Community Outreach (Brantford) to help in the planning and execution of Global Engagement Week or student exchange events. These groups are great opportunities to meet new people, practice your intercultural communication and be recognized on the Laurier Co-Curricular Record.
The International Students’ Association (ISA) is an inclusive and official campus club at our Brantford and Waterloo campuses. The ISA provides International and non-international students a collective voice, a space to make friends, an opportunity to develop leadership skills and help support each other in making a successful transition to living and thriving in Canada. With events ranging from semi-formals and hockey games, to international movie nights and Chinese New Year dinners, the ISA creates a community for international and other interested students on campus.
The Laurier International Community in Waterloo provides a unique living environment by offering you comfortable furnished living arrangements as well as a rich learning space. Join other students from diverse perspectives (upper year exchange students and international and domestic students) and explore ideas and global issues together in a culturally diverse environment. You are encouraged to develop your knowledge and skills by engaging in international related learning activities and taking on leadership roles by organizing learning experiences and campus-wide outreach programs.
