Alex Murray recently completed terms as Manager, University Library and Director of Laurier International. Dr. Murray was Dean of the School from 1982 until 1996 and has been a consultant to Federal and State Governments and companies in Canada and the United States on international business and trade strategy. Prior to his academic career, he was a manager with Servicemaster Associates, a Chicago-based international franchising company.
Dr. Murray has held a variety of academic and administrative positions at the University of Michigan, UCLA, Illinois and Windsor. At Windsor, he was Director of the Institute for Canadian-American Studies. His particular teaching and research interests are global trade issues, and strategic studies dealing with overseas management.
Dr. Murray coordinates the Forecast of Canada's Technology Triangle and presents the annual results at the SBE Forecast Seminar.
