Director: Michael Haughton

The Centre for Supply Chain Management (SCM), located within the School of Business & Economics (SBE), has the primary function of facilitating and coordinating research in supply chain management.The Centre ensures regular and useful communication between researchers and practitioners including strategic decision makers in supply chain management.The purpose of each communication (seminars/conferences/roundtables) is to ensure that relevant topics are well research and the researched findings are disseminated in timely fashion to those who can use them.Related activities of the Centre include assisting in the development of education materials (BBA/MBA/PhD levels) and training initiatives with the Laurier Institute.

Laurier is a proud to be the first educational institution recipient of the prestigious Orcale/SCL Innovation Award. Awarded in June 2005 by Supply Chain & Logistics Canada (SCL).

Michael Haughton: (PhD Penn State)
is currently a Professor of Operations and Decision Sciences in the School of Business & Economics at Wilfrid Laurier University.  His main research interests are in using model-based and empirical methods to study issues of managing transportation, logistics, and supply chain operations in contexts such as vehicle dispatch/routing and trans-national trade.
