Azim Essaji received BArtsSc and MA degrees from McMaster University. He earned JD and PhD degrees from the University of Toronto. His current research mainly focuses on the impact of trade on disadvantaged groups. He has also written on the effects of product regulation on international trade patterns, as well as the role of contracting institutions in international trade.
