The Centre for Online Learning

The Centre for Online Learning within Teaching Support Services is committed to supporting the development and administration of pedagogically sound online learning courses that provide rich and engaging learning experiences for students and instructional opportunities for faculty and contract academic staff. Online learning courses provide students with a learning experience consistent with program-level learning objectives and outcomes. The office strives to use educational technologies to support and enrich the teaching and learning environment and provides pedagogical and technical support in the development of online and hybrid/blending courses. The office additionally supports and encourages linkages between course developers and instructors with resource staff and support services across the university (e.g., Library, Accessible Learning Centre, Learning Services).

Part-Time, Online and Continuing Education Calendar - Spring/Summer 2012

To request loaned media and supplementary material, and to specify your exam centre for online courses, please complete the Online Learning Term Form. 

New for Spring 2012:
Waitlisting is a function in LORIS that allows you to be notified when a position opens in a course that is currently closed due to maximum enrolment having been attained.

Follow the instructions in LORIS. 

IMPORTANT: Adding your name on the waitlist does not guarantee you a position in the course. You should consider an alternate course.
Once you have successfully waitlisted, and a spot opens up, you will receive an email to your Laurier account offering you a position in the course. You have 24 hours to enrol. After the 24 hour period, your position will expire.
