Honours BSc in Computing and Computer Electronics from WLU, 1986
I was born and raised in the Leamington area of south-western Ontario. Early on I became interested in theatrics and public speaking, and in my teens I worked as a part-time newscaster at the local radio station. This experience has proven to be invaluable in my teaching.
I came to Waterloo as a student and after getting my first degree stayed on at WLU. I have taken two major breaks, the first to teach English in Czechoslovakia in 1991, and the second to lecture in Computer Science at the University of Waterloo.
I have three children, Deborah, Tasmin, and Tristan, and many good friends.
I have no specific office hours, but I would be happy to set an appointment to meet with you. Please make an appointment with me by email. If my office door is open you are welcome to drop in.
