Biography
Dr. Roberts is an expert in children's memory and learning. She investigates how memories of experienced events become contaminated with information from other sources (e.g., television), and also how children learn from different sources of information (e.g., computers, teachers, books). She regularly advises police officers, social workers, and teachers how to interview children, and trains 100 police officers a year on how to interview children (at the Ontario Police College). She has received grants from Canada, the USA, the UK, and Australia (e.g., the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council, the Canadian Foundation for Innovation). Dr. Roberts is a recipient of the prestigious Premier's Research Excellence Award.
