Wilfrid Laurier University has over 1,200 employees who make our university community a great place. Maintaining positive relationships with our varied and diverse employee groups is a top priority because their work is vital to the education, research and mission of Laurier. The area of employee/labour relations within Human Resources strives towards building relationships with non-academic employees and employee groups to provide a mutually respectful working environment. Our advisory role includes providing guidance and direction to managers and employees involving compensation, collective agreements/handbooks and legislative matters. This includes interpreting and applying employment-related policies, rules, and contracts; managing performance; resolving workplace conflicts and administering the job evaluation system.
