Biography

    Paul completed an Honours degree in Physical Geography with a focus in climatology at Trent University followed by a degree in Education at Western. Following graduation he worked as a secondary school teacher for several years and later for RWDI Inc., a consulting engineering firm. Here he specialized in analyzing wind flow / snow accumulation patterns using various modeling techniques to identify and make recommendations to improve the design of high rise buildings for the firmsí international clients. Following the completion of his Diploma in Business and Certificate in Human Resource Management he worked in the Member Relations Division of Gay-Lea Foods Inc. conducting market research and analysis, managing shareholder data and assisted in the implementation of a new financial database. Paul brought his project management and consulting skills to the Research Office in 2007 as a Grants Officer with primary responsibility for NSERC grants. In 2012 he changed roles assuming responsibility for research compliance. Outside of work Paul has played an active role in his local Kinsmen Club chairing numerous fund raising projects and serving in several executive positions, including President and at the District Level as Secretary / Treasurer.
