Biography
Teresa Marcon joined the ODS area in 2007. She teaches Management Information Systems core and elective courses. Teresa Marcon is currently completing a PhD in Information Systems at the Richard Ivey School of Business, The University of Western Ontario, where she was also a lecturer. Prior to undertaking the PhD, she spent several years working for a number of e-business start-ups as well as Oracle Canada. Informed by her engagement with practice, her research draws on contemporary theory in the social sciences and philosophy. At present, her principal program of research is directed at understanding the global movement of information technologies and in particular the practice of offshore IT outsourcing. Her work has been accepted for publication in Information Systems Journal and published in book chapters and conference proceedings.
