I am faculty member in the Developmental Psychology area. After finishing my PhD at the Free University in Berlin, Germany, I spent a postdoctoral year at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver. I joined the WLU Psychology Department in 2006.
My research interests generally lie in the area of moral development. I am particularly interested in the interplay of cognitive, emotional and personality development as it is related to matters of moral conduct and moral consciousness. Recent research projects focused on moral identity formation in adolescence and the development of moral emotions.
My research has been funded by grants from the German Research Foundation and the Social Science and Humanities Research Council, Canada. I welcome new graduate and honors students to my research lab at WLU.
