Stephen Perry, Kinesiology and Physical Education Thanks to Stephen Perry's Sole Sensor insole, senior citizens will suffer fewer falls. "As we age, we lose sensation in the soles of our feet, which can cause poor balance and an increased risk of falling," says Perry, who studies the control of human movement. The ridge along the outer edge of his insole alerts seniors when they are losing their balance. The insole is currently commerically available.
