Biography

Dr. Mallet is a behavioural pharmacologist who studies the behavioural and neural effects of drugs, with a special emphasis on drugs of abuse and plant extracts. 

Dr. Mallet received his Master’s and PhD in behavioural neuroscience from Queen’s University, where he worked with Dr. Richard Beninger. He later worked as a post-doctoral fellow at the University of Sydney, Australia.  From 1999-2005 Dr. Mallet served as a faculty member at the University of New England, Australia, where he taught biological psychology and behavioural pharmacology. He has published numerous articles on the psychopharmacology of learning and memory, and the behavioural pharmacology of cannabinoid (cannabis-like) drugs. In 2001 he was awarded a Vice-Chancellor’s Teaching Award from the University of New England. He joined the Department of Psychology at Wilfrid Laurier University in 2006.
