Academic Background
Gail is one of the Founding Members of the Ottawa Couple and Family Institute and Co-Director of the International Center of Excellence in Emotionally Focused Therapy.  She holds a Masters degree in Social Work and is a Registered Marriage and Family Therapist in Canada. Over the past 25 years, Gail has worked closely with Dr Sue Johnson, co creator of Emotionally Focused Therapy for Couples.  She is an experienced trainer in EFT, currently offering workshops, externships and advanced core skills training to therapists across Canada, the USA and Europe.  She has written a number of articles and chapters on EFT and EFFT and has a particular interest in applying the model in work with families.  Gail is an Approved Supervisor with the American Association of Marriage and Family Therapy and is a sessional lecturer at the School of Social Work, Carleton University in Ottawa and Wilfrid Laurier Seminary in Waterloo, Canada.
