ASPIRE is a professional skills development training program for graduate students and postdoctoral fellows at Laurier with the aim of setting them on the path for post-degree success. Delivered by the Faculty of Graduate and Postdoctoral Studies (FGPS) working in conjunction with a range of university partners, the program provides a framework housing a range of training and development opportunities and resources.

The ASPIRE program is divided into four categories: career development, communications, teaching and research and leaderships.  Students are encouraged to participate in offerings and to access available resources across all four categories. Learn more about the program.

Adding Professional Development to Graduate Curriculum

Instructors who are planning to include ASPIRE as part of the required components of a graduate course should consult Tamas Dobozy (tdobozy@wlu.ca), Associate Dean: Faculty of Graduate & Postdoctoral Studies, for advice on identifying the elements which meet the learning objectives of that course.
