Biography
I grew up in Simcoe and attended Simcoe Composite School. After high school I ventured to the University of Guelph for a Bachelor of Science. While I initially wanted to write my MCATS and apply to be a veterinarian, my volunteer work with multiple vets changed my mind. My other dream had always been teaching so off to teacher’s college I went. I was very fortunate to get into Brock University. After Brock, I accepted a Customer Service position with Union Gas for two years. I happened to meet an employee of Laurier Brantford and she suggested I apply for a new opportunity at Service Laurier Brantford. I did and the rest is history.I now live in Tillsonburg and commute each day. In my spare time I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, kayaking and running with my husband Nick. One of my favourite outdoor experiences has been my summer as a white water rafting guide on the Ottawa River. Not only is it where I met Nick, but the experience allowed me to obtain my swift water rescue certification, CPR, First Aid and Level 1 Guide certification.
As a Service Laurier Brantford Advisor my goal is to provide confidential, accurate and timely assistance in-person, online, and by telephone. I try to always have a smile on my face and hope that everyone feels like they can approach me for help.
I love the community that Laurier Brantford offers me and feel very lucky to have such amazing colleagues to work with. I look forward to what the future of Laurier has to offer.
