Academic Background

BA, Global Studies & Political Science, Wilfrid Laurier University

Biography

I was born and raised in Accra, Ghana and finished my secondary school at Akosombo International in the Eastern-Region. I heard about Laurier during my time at Columbia International College and made the decision to pursue my undergraduate degree here after coming on a campus tour. I had a great feeling about Laurier when I visited the campus because it met my expectation of a small campus, where I can interact with my peers and get to know my professors.

I graduated from the Global Studies and Political Science program and was active as a Residence Life Don, Student Coordinator at the Diversity & Equity Office and President of the International Students' Association. My Laurier experiences also came with the added benefit of discovering my passion for Africa. I founded the campus club Future of Africa which is now a charity in Ghana, helping local communities provide opportunities, resources and skills for underprivileged children and youth.

I have a great and exciting job here at Laurier, recruiting international students all across the world but most importantly sharing my Laurier experiences as an international student as well. I believe in Laurier’s vision of Inspiring Lives and I am excited to share this with all the students, guardians and counsellors I come across through my travels. Drop me a line, I am happy to help you!
