Dr Pat Rogers is a professor of education and associate vice president: teaching and learning at Wilfrid Laurier University. Appointed to the position in October 2011 for a five-year term, she oversees teaching support services, learning services and community-engaged learning, academic integrity, and the quality assurance processes of the university.
Prior to coming to Laurier, Pat was dean of education at the University of Windsor from 2001 to 2011 and professor of mathematics and education at York University from 1984 to 2001. Pat is the founding academic director of York's Centre for the Support of Teaching, and former president of the Society for Teaching and Learning in Higher Education.
Pat is the recipient of Canada's highest award for teaching excellence at universities, the 3M National Teaching Fellowship. She has a BA (Oxford), MSc (Toronto), and PhD (London), all in the area of mathematics and has published in the areas of mathematics, mathematics education, gender and university teaching and learning.
