My career path began in the Development & Alumni Relations office at Lakehead University. I then became a secondary school teacher for the Grand Erie District School Board, teaching Law, Civics, English, Media and various other Liberal Arts courses. In 2011, I joined Laurier Brantford as an Academic Program Assistant- I feel so fortunate to be part of such an engaging and positive community.
Outside the office, you can find me teaching yoga classes, volunteering at a local not-for-profit boxing organization, and attending various community events. I am interested in the relationship between mental health and physical health, as it pertains to youth behaviour and academic performance. My professional development and further education focuses on counselling psychology and youth guidance.
I have a passion for folk music, books, the outdoors, and travel (most recently, I spent 3 weeks backpacking Southern Europe).
