As Women’s Faculty Colleagues for Waterloo and Brantford, we would like to welcome you to the Women's Faculty Colleague website. The position of “Women’s Faculty Colleague” was created in 2000 to provide support and information to all faculty on issues affecting women faculty and librarians (see “Roles and Responsibilities” for details). Last year a second WFC was created for Laurier Brantford.  The role of Women's Faculty Colleague is to provide support and information to all faculty on issues affecting women faculty. Another important aspect of the role is to act as a resource person providing information on equity issues and support to women faculty on an individual basis.

We are in the process now of planning events, workshops and sessions for the coming year, but would also welcome your suggestions for issues to cover in workshops and seminars. Events will be publicized here and also through email to the mailing list for women faculty and librarians. You should also feel free to email us at awilson@wlu.ca or krossiter@wlu.ca  during the year if you have individual concerns and if we can be of assistance in our role as resource people.

Anne Wilson (Waterloo) and Kate Rossiter (Brantford)
