Chris Lopes looked at many Canadian universities before choosing Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario.
“What attracted me to Laurier was the business program,” says Chris, from Devonshire, Bermuda.
“It’s challenging,” says Chris. “It’s a big difference from high school, but I like it.”
From the moment he arrived on campus during Orientation Week, “everyone was so welcoming and friendly,” he says. “I’ve made a lot of friends.”
He’s also experienced a Canadian winter. “It’s not as bad as I thought it would be. The first time it snowed, we made a big snowman and had snowball fights.”
