Biography

David Smith teaches courses on the Anglo-Atlantic world and World History. His research explores issues in law and business, and he is currently working on a project examining the development of the corporation and public expectations of corporate responsibility.

Recently published in the Journal of Legal History, Law and History Review, Historical Research and the Canadian Journal of History, David Smith has recently completed a forthcoming book on Sir Edward Coke and the foundations of the modern common law.
