Dr. Marnie Van Weelden has performed in international masters classes and recitals in Europe, Canada, and the United States. A recipient of numerous awards and honours, she is in demand as a pianist, teacher, adjudicator, and clinician. Van Weelden has made many conference presentations related to piano pedagogy, and is passionate about the effective application of the Alexander Technique to piano playing and teaching. She joined the Faculty of Music in 2007. She has an ARCT certificate, a BMusEd from the University of Western Ontario, and MMus and DMA degrees from the University of Michigan.
