Biography
Elvera Froese, Accompanist-in-Residence, studied piano in Manitoba and England, and has wide experience as a vocal and choral accompanist and vocal coach. She received a BMus degree from the University of Manitoba and taught piano, piano literature and pedagogy, music history, and theory at Canadian Mennonite Bible College, Winnipeg. After pursuing graduate studies in musicology at the University of Toronto, she came to Laurier where she is a vocal coach. She also teaches vocal literature and musical skills, and conducts the WLU Chapel Choir. In addition, Froese has also developed music courses in teleaudio and teleconference communication for Laurier’s Continuing Education program.
