April 28, 2011 The Board of Governors approved a motion to endorse the 14 consensus points and the next steps recommended by the Task Force. March 3, 2011 Senate approved a motion to endorse the 14 consensus points and the next steps recommended by the Task Force. The report may be viewed here. Background The Presidential Task Force on Multi-Campus Governance is charged with providing recommendations to the university community, including Senate and the Board of Governors, as to how a "Laurier federation" of campuses should be structured. Its work will be grounded in the Envisioning Laurier initiative and in the recently approved Academic Plan. The considerations of the task force will include issues that transcend faculties, departments, campuses, and administrative units, and consultations will be held as appropriate throughout. |
