Biography

Lesley has diverse research interests in the human services.  Her passion is research into work-based learning, clinical supervision and social work education.  She has also undertaken research in child and family welfare, housing for those with complex social and health needs, concepts of sustainable tenancy for Indigenous women and children and investigating access to mainstream housing for Indigenous and low income people.  More recently, she has been commissioned to do program evaluation for government departments and large non-government organizations.  This includes development of evaluation frameworks for diabetes self care and management in Indigenous remote communities and evaluation of community capacity building.  She has taught courses in social work and aged care, social work ethics and social planning in the human services.
