Jane Maness received an Performance Honours Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Toronto, studying with Charles Daellenbach. She was a member of the National Youth Orchestra, Canadian Opera Company and has been principal tuba of the Kitchener-Waterloo Symphony and Canadian Chamber Ensemble since 1975. Jane has taught at Inter-Provincial Music Camp and Banff Festival of Youth Orchestras. She revised the Royal Conservatory of Music Tuba Syllabus and the Brass Sight Reading and Ear Test Requirements.
