Biography
Elaine Lau has appeared as keyboardist and soloist with Canadian orchestras, and broadcast on CBC and National Public Radio in the United States. As duo-pianist with Joseph Ferretti, she has performed across Canada and the USA; she is also a co-founding member of the contemporary keyboard collective: junctQín. Her teachers include Peter Longworth, Valerie Tryon, Gwen Beamish and Karl Ulrich Schnabel. Elaine has served as collaborative pianist for the Glenn Gould School, at the Opera Theatre Festival of Lucca in Italy and as a coach in-residence at the Pennsylvania Governor’s School for the Arts, where she worked with talented high school music students.

Academic/Performance Interests
A new music enthusiast, Elaine has an avid interest and specialization in contemporary repertoire/new music for toy, solo and duo piano. Ms. Lau has also completed extensive graduate work in piano pedagogy at the Glenn Gould School (combined Artist Diploma and Masters degree in Performance and Pedagogy).
