Laurier has a reputation for excellence in teaching, research, student life and many other areas. There are many in our campus community who consistently demonstrate leadership and innovation to further the university’s mission and deliver results in their respective areas. In recognition of this, and in an effort to address the university’s financial challenges in a positive, forward-thinking way, the president encourages everyone in the Laurier community to consider and bring forward innovative initiatives that have the potential to generate new revenue and/or reduce operating costs.
To support these initiatives, the president established a $200,000 Innovation Seed Fund in the fall of 2009. Major projects emerging from the fund will enhance Laurier’s position as a leading university and provide a platform for increased collaboration within and among campuses, faculties, and/or departments.
The fund provides an excellent opportunity to initiate projects that will positively affect Laurier's future. We look forward to your ideas and proposals!
