Biography

Kevin Hanna’s research centres on integrated approaches to natural resource management, forest sector policy in Canada, environmental impact assessment (EIA) and. His work also emphasises comparative resource management studies; reflected in current collaboration with colleagues in Finland and Sweden.

Hanna’s work seeks to link the experiences and approaches of Canadian impact assessment and forest management to policy debates and management discourses present in the Nordic environmental policy setting. A strong thread in this research is the analysis of environmental policy and the measurement of policy effectiveness

Dr. Hanna has edited books on impact assessment (Oxford), integrated resource management (Oxford) and parks and protected areas (Routledge). His work is published widely in peer reviewed journals in the fields of planning, environmental management and forestry.
