Lisa Giguere earned her undergraduate degrees in Education and Business Administration at the University of New Brunswick. She has an extensive background in marketing developed during a career spanning more than a decade with several organizations including General Electric and NCR, where she held senior positions in marketing. During this time, Lisa also completed her MBA at Wilfrid Laurier University.
In 2001, Lisa formed Marketing Essentials to provide marketing consulting services, with a focus on marketing research, consumer behavior and marketing strategy. Her clients have included Manulife Financial, Ivanhoe Cambridge, the Canadian Innovation Centre, and the Mood Disorder Association of Waterloo Region.
Lisa joined the School of Business & Economics as a marketing instructor in 2004. She has taught BU 352 (Introduction to Marketing Management), BU 362 (Building and Managing Products, Services and Brands), BU 422 (Marketing Research), BU 412 (Services Marketing) and BU 479 (High Tech Marketing).
Lisa has been an active board member and volunteer in many organizations, including KW Lightning Girls Basketball Association, Kitchener Soccer Club, Waterloo Minor Soccer, Canadian Mental Health Association, Industrial Marketing & Research Association of Canada and Beechwood Manor.
Lisa is an accomplished marketing case writer and has received the following awards for her case writing:
