Academic Background

Tom holds an MBA from the Université de Moncton, and has received a Bachelor’s of Education and Bachelors of Arts with an Advanced Major in Mathematics.

Biography

Tom Buckley has been the Assistant Vice-President of Academic services at Laurier since 2009. Over the past 20 years he held leadership positions in both the private sector and higher educations. Immediately prior to joining Laurier he served a term as University Registrar at the University of New Brunswick Saint John.

Currently he is responsible for a wide variety of academic and support functions at Laurier. The portfolio includes enrolment management and Registrarial services, undergraduate recruitment, and Laurier International. He is also the senior leader of the central ICT team, and oversees the distance and continuing education division at the University. When not working he enjoys playing hockey, golf and winemaking.
