Amy Christie is an Assistant Professor of OB/HRM in the Lazaridis School of Business and Economics. She completed her PhD at the Queen’s School of Business, Queen’s University. Her research interests surround issues of status, power, and leadership/followership in organizations. One stream of her research has centered on abuses of power and unethical leadership, while another has explored status structures and interpersonal processes in small groups. She has also conducted research that examines the role of the workplace in explaining social health inequalities. Her research spans multiple levels of analysis, from studies at the individual, group, and organizational levels to longitudinal studies of within-individual change across time.
This research has been published by the Journal of Applied Psychology, Journal of Applied Social Psychology, and Journal of Business Ethics, along with several chapters in recent books, including The Handbook of Organizational Behavior and The Handbook of Industrial and Organizational Psychology.
