Research on Grand River tributaries
One of my on-going projects is to develop long-term datasets on the health of the aquatic invertebrate communities of some of the important tributaries of the middle reaches of the Grand River. In 1997/98, one of my fourth year thesis students (Jamie Rusnyk) conducted a survey study of Swan Creek and Carroll Creek. In 2006/07, another student (Al Quinlan) repeated and extended the study by sampling sites from the headwaters to areas near where the creeks empty into the Grand River.
