Jasmin Habib is an Associate Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Waterloo. She is an expert on diaspora and refugee identities, their political formations and engagements with their "homelands". Her current research, entitled "Critical Distance", focuses on emigre Israelis and their relaitonship to the Israel/Palestine conflict.
Yehonatan Alsheh is a postdoctoral fellow at the Balsillie School of International Affairs (BSIA) under the supervision of Dr. Rhoda e. Howard-Hassmann. Recently he has been conducting research on the drafting of of the UN Apartheid Convention. He is also studying genocidal anxieties among white farming communities in South Africa and Zimbabwe.
