  Join Larry O’Reilly, President, Worldwide Sales of IMAX, Bruce Morrison, Senior Vice-President of Retail Sales and Marketing of Disney and critically acclaimed filmmaker and producer Toni Myers for a special presentation on The Business of Film.

Biographies:

Larry O'Reilly - IMAX, President, Worldwide Sales

Larry O'Reilly joined IMAX in March of 1994 as the Sales Manager, Film Distribution, and was appointed Executive Vice President, Theatre Development in September 2004.  In 2011, Larry was appointed to President, Worldwide Sales.  Based in Toronto, Larry oversees all aspects of theatre sales and marketing for IMAX, as well as the development and design of IMAX theatres.  In this role, Larry leads the team focused on generating new business opportunities for IMAX and growing the IMAX theatre network.  Prior to  joining IMAX, Larry developed and managed the National Sales and Marketing organization of a major US manufacturer, and worked as a consultant in the Executive Search industry.  Larry is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University, where he studied Political Science and Business Administration.

Bruce Morrison - Senior Vice President of Retail Sales and Marketing, Disney Consumer Products (DCP) North America

Bruce joined Disney in 1994 as part of Canada's Buena Vista Home Entertainment division, eventually running the BVHE direct sales team there.  He transferred to Canada's DCP office in 1999 as Director of Marketing.  In 2000, he was promoted to the position of Managing Director for DCP Canada.

In 2002, Bruce was promoted to Vice President of Retail Business Development in Burbank where he led the creation of U.S. key account teams against Wal-Mart, Target, Toys R Us and Kmart.  In 2003, he relocated to Bentonville, AR to head up DCP's global Wal-Mart team and in Fall 2004, he returned to Burbank to assume his current responsibilities directing DCP's retail sales and marketing efforts in North America.  Reporting to Bruce are the sales and retail marketing leaders for the United States and Canada. His responsibilities include managing DCP's key account plans and relationships within the region and exceeding DCP growth plans for the regional key account base.

Prior to joining Disney, Bruce was employed by Hallmark Cards Canada and held key roles in both sales and brand marketing.  Morrison is a graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario.  He currently resides in Los Angeles with his wife and three children.

Toni Myers - Critically acclaimed Filmmaker and Producer

After attending the Ontario College of Art, Toni Myers began her career as an assistant editor to Donald Ginsberg in Toronto, working on commercials, episodes of the CBC series TELESCOPE, and the National Film Board's ground breaking feature NOBODY WAVED GOODBYE. This led to work on the successful and controversial CBC public affairs program THIS HOUR HAS SEVEN DAYS, and the FOREST RANGERS and SEAWAY dramatic series.

In 1965 after moving to New York, she met Graeme Ferguson, later to become co-inventor and co-founder of IMAX.  Their early work together was on Ferguson's dramatic multi-image film POLAR LIFE, a huge success at Montreal's EXPO '67.  This was the beginning of a partnership which would continue to the present and involve some 14 films together.
