Voice Development and Use for the Lecturing Professor Workshop

This hands-on session is designed to explore strategies both indeveloping a stronger voice for longer periods of timeand to communicate effectively.This practical and interactive workshopill help you find, use, enjoy and maintain your voice to itsbest advantage.

In thistwo and a halfhour workshop participants will work with singer and vocal coach Jennifer Molinaro on how to best employ one's voice in the classroom.

Topics include:

- Using your voice safely in large classroom settings and avoiding 'vocal fatigue'

- Using your voice to engage students and to provide effective in-class leadership

- Finding your in-class voice, literally and figuratively

This class may be particularly useful to instructors and teaching assistantswho struggle with making themselves heard within classroom settings, orespecially larger classes.
