Participation in Communication in the Internationalized Classroom prior to taking this workshop is highly recommended.
Whether you are communicating with your supervisor, your peers, or your students, the interpersonal and linguistic skills required to manage contentious discussions and conflict are crucial to success.  Workshop activities will include teaching about a controversial topic, managing a classroom discussion, and engaging in role plays to resolve conflict. By attending this workshop, you will be able to:
  • teach and manage a classroom discussion with greater confidence;
  • participate in and observe the dynamics of classroom discussions with greater confidence;
  • recognize the causes of conflict and engage more productively in conflict resolution.
Participation in Communication in the Internationalized Classroom (as described above) prior to taking this workshop is highly recommended.

Registration is limited to 16 students.
