Keynote Speakers
Craig Wright, Senior VP and Chief Economist, RBC Financial Group
Based in Toronto, Ontario, Craig is RBC Financial Group's Chief Economist. A graduate of Wilfrid Laurier University and the University of Toronto, Craig joined RBC Financial Group in 1994 after seven years as an economist in the financial services industry. Craig was appointed RBC's Chief Economist in 2001. As Chief Economist, Craig manages the teams responsible for global macroeconomic, financial market and foreign exchange strategic research, and delivers economics briefings to RBC clients.
Dr. Jeffry Frieden, Professor of Government, Harvard University
Jeffry is co-Chair of Harvard University's Research Group on Political Institutions and Economic Policy. He specializes in the politics of international monetary and financial relations, and is the author (with Menzie Chinn) of the award-winning book: Lost Decades: The Making of America's Debt Crisis and the Long Recovery (2011). Jeffry is also the author of Global Capitalism: Its Fall and Rice in the Twentieth Century (2006), and is the co-author or co-editor of over a dozen other books on related topics. His articles on the politics of international economic issues have appeared in a wide variety of scholarly and general-interest publications.

Deborah Yedlin, Business Columnist, The Calgary Herald
Deborah began her career working as an investment banker in 1987, working in New York for Goldman Sachs. Upon completing her MBA in Finance, Deborah continued working in corporate finance, first in Toronto and then in Calgary. Deborah's career in business journalism began in 1996 and has included positions with the Financial Post and the Globe and Mail. Deborah has held her current position as business columnist for the Calgary Herald since April 2007. She is also a weekly business commentator for CBC radio. In addition to her professional obligations, Deborah is active in the Calgary Community, sitting as a director on a number of not-for-profit boards. Deborah holds an undergraduate degree from the University of Alberta, an MBA from Queen's University and is a graduate of the Institute of Corporate Directors through the Haskayne School of Business.
