Tailoring your technology: Adapting technology for student learning styles and needs
Apr 9/13
Time: 14:00 - 15:00
Location: Bricker Academic (BA) 306
Cost: free
In this session we consider how technology can be used from a Universal Design for Learning (UDL) perspective, that is, as a way to differentiate the learning experience to meet the various learning styles and needs of students. Steve Sider, from the Faculty of Education, will provide input from a course he teaches in which students complete a learning profile in the first class. He will discuss (and model) how he uses technology to help differentiate the learning activities based on the individual and class profiles. Lynn Kane will also be linking this discussion to new accessibility requirements for faculty under Ontario's provincial legislation.
