Melissa Ireland and Kandice Baptiste of Laurier's Aboriginal Student Centre host a conversation for those who truly wish to understand what solidarity actually looks like with Indigenous peoples of Turtle Island (North America). This workshop will investigate decolonization as a social movement, examine qualities of a strong Indigenous Ally, and share strategies for how can we work and prosper together. Resources will be provided. The Aboriginal Student Centre is committed to supporting the Aboriginal student population while at the same time serves the wider campus community by building cross-cultural awareness and solidarity with Indigenous peoples.
