Have a Heart for First Nations Children
Valentine's Day Social
Date: Feb 14/14
Time: 17:00 - 20:00
Have a Heart for First Nations Children is a campaign meant to give First Nations children the chance to grow up safely at home, get a good education, be healthy, and be proud of their culture.
Once again this year, we are hosting a Valentine’s Day Social in partnership with Weejeendimin Native Resource Centre, Anishnabeg Outreach and Wilfrid Laurier University’s Aboriginal Student Support Services and MSW, Aboriginal Field of Study for the Have a Heart Campaign in support of The First Nations Child & Family Caring Society of Canada.
First Nations families, KW community members and the Laurier community are invited to attend the Have a Heart Day Social on Friday, February 14, 2014. Some of the activities will include Aboriginal dancing and singing, food, craft areas for the children and Have a Heart Valentine Card mailing station.
This event is in support of I am Witness, Shannen's Dream and Jordan's Principle. If you would like more information about these campaigns, or to print off your own letter please click on the page link below.
