Guidelines for Department Tenure and Promotions Committees (DAPC) 2012

Recommended by Wilfrid Laurier University Faculty Association (WLUFA)
Max Blouw & Judy Bates

published: 2011 | Policy | Faculty Relations

To help members of DAP committees fulfill their contractual responsibilities, the Joint University-Association Employment Equity Advisory (JU-AEEA) Committee has developed the following guidelines for those involved in hiring, tenure, or promotion decisions. It is the intent of WLUFA that this document be used by members of DAP committees as a tool to assist them in their decision making. Faculty members considering applying for tenure or promotion may also find these guidelines useful. In the event that there is any discrepancy between these guidelines and the Collective Agreement, or the provisions of the federal employment equity legislation, the Collective Agreement and the legislation shall take precedence.
