published: 2008 | Research publication | Conference paper
September 2007 was the first intake of Teacher Education Candidates (TECs) to the Faculty of Education, at Wilfrid Laurier University (WLU). The program follows a Professional Development School (PDS) model, which is intended to facilitate the creation of communities of practice and to enhance the coherence between university and school experiences for the TECS. This study investigates TECs’ perceptions of the effectiveness of this model through weekly reflective questions, a follow-up survey, and end of year focus group sessions.
