Case Description: The case concerns the actions of a professor in dealing with a student's request for a change-of-grade. The student's justification for his change-of-grade request is that a higher grade is needed if he is to graduate. Additional factors complicating his request are 1) a pending job that is dependent on graduation; 2) he no longer has a place to live; 3) he encountered various personal difficulties during the semester. The case describes how the professor deals with this student's request and the results of the professor's actions at a Faculty-wide level.
